Lopez is blessed with an abundance of agricultural products. There is a strong sense of stewardship to the earth among local farmers, and a commitment to sustainability. Cascadia Kayak Tours serves organic and locally grown food as much as possible. We hope to raise the awareness of eating sustainably and locally, and we insist on serving only the highest quality and tastiest food possible.
Our family has experience with vegan and vegetarian cuisine, as well as gluten-free and dairy-free baking and cooking. Although we now eat locally caught seafood and locally raised meats, we definitely understand the diversity of individual dietary needs and food preferences.
Breakfast: Lopez raised sausage, aronia berry pancakes with maple syrup, Lopez roast french press coffee, fresh melons from Horse Drawn Farms
Lunch: Holly B's pugliese bread, Jones Family Farms smoked salmon, organic cream cheese, heirloom tomatoes from Horsedrawn Farms, Christine's Greens, dressings and hummus from Vortex Juice Bar, local fruit, organic avocado, chips and fruit juice.
Dinner: Green salad with vinaigrette, fragrant rice, locally raised teriyaki pork with sweet and sour vegetables. Apple crisp with fresh cream for dessert. Organic wine from Lopez Vinyards.
